The Bosai Solution Database is available on the website of Japan Bosai Platform, which is an association of companies whose goal is to make society disaster resilient and sustainable by sharing Japanese bosai solutions with the world. Bosai is a Japanese word which means “holistic approach to saving lives and economy from disasters”.
In the Bosai Solution Database, over 60 different tools, technologies, and solutions spearheaded by Japanese companies can be found, disaggregated by hazards, such as tsunami, volcano, and avalanche, by solution purposes, such as preparedness, response, and recovery, by solution themes, such as risk assessment, infrastructure, and medical treatment, and by technology subjects, such as airport, urban, and post-disaster evaluation.
