In celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month, this webinar aims to:

  • To discuss space technology and its relevance in enhancing disaster resilience in the Philippines
  • To share knowledge and experiences related to space based assets in disaster management; and
  • To leverage space science to improve disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in the Philippines by fostering collaboration and networking among participants, including experts, practitioners, government officials, and stakeholders involved in disaster resilience efforts.


Target Audience:
The webinar aims to attract a diverse range of participants, including:

 

  • Member and/or Non-Member of ARISE Philippine Network and other private sector DRRM stakeholders.
  • Government offices involved in disaster management and resilience.
  • Representatives from national and local disaster management offices and organizations.
  • Researchers / academes, working or studying in fields related to disaster resilience and satellite technology.
  • Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community-based organizations engaged in DRRM and CCA.


Administrative Details:

  • Date: July 28, 2023, 2:00 PM (Manila time) as part of ARISE’ culmination for the National Disaster Resilience Month.
  • Duration: The webinar will span a 2-hour session, allowing for engaging presentations and Q&A sessions.
  • Platform: The webinar will be conducted virtually via Zoom Platform and will be live streamed in the ARISE-Philippines Facebook page.
  • Certificates: Attendees shall be provided with Certificate of Participation in the Webinar.
