The Building Resilience Index (BRI) is a World Bank/IFC Led Partnership. The BRI provides the building sector a web-based hazard mapping and resilience assessment framework. All sector stakeholders -construction developers, banks, insurers, governments, and others- can use Building Resilience Index to assess, improve, and disclose the resilience of their projects or portfolios.
The Critical Asset Management System (CAMS) is a collaborative, open-source, and data-centric tool that helps cities to identify their critical assets and the cascading failure chains should one of them fail.
Development of smartphone apps (1) cmap.dev for realtime estimates of building damage/rates by LG unit, for typhoons, heavy rains, and earthquakes, (2) risk management app that suggest prevention tips, and guides evacuation during disasters.
Upgrading clients' DRR capability by introducing On-site Water Treatment and Supply System, using membrane filtration technology, which utilizes water sources such as groundwater, surface water, etc.
The (re-)insurance industry has a critical role to play in DRR. With risk at the core of its business, the industry has an opportunity to lead both from an insurance/liability side as well as asset management to change the current single hazard, short-term business approach of the sector and encourage risk-informed business management strategies and practice.
