Ahmed Riad Ali is a well-known thought leader on Business Continuity and Resilience on a regional and global basis. He is currently Managing Director of Estmrarya Consulting, a multi-awards winning Consulting firm specializing in providing consulting, training and innovation in business continuity management, risk management, information security and business resilience to clients in the Gulf Cooperation Council and beyond. Ahmed was the Middle East Region Representative of The Business Continuity Institute Global Membership Council from 2014 to 2018 and Committee Member of DRI International Glossary for Resiliency from 2015 till now. Ahmed has a wide experience of over 15 years in business continuity management, information security management, IT disaster recovery and IT risk management.

His exposure to a variety of sectors both in the local and regional markets including telecom, banking, financial services, healthcare and consultancy has made him an expert in delivering optimal values in rapidly expanding environments. He has built an innovative model for business resilience and business continuity that could easily be adapted to any organization’s needs, especially the ones operating in the MENA region that have an Arabic culture embedded in their working environment. He has cooperated with a wide range of organizations in different industries both in the public and private sectors to provide consultancy, advisory and training services related to all aspects of the UAE BCM Standards, the BCI Good Practices Guideline as well as the DRII Professional Practices, Information Security Management System ISO/IEC 27001:2013, and the ISO31000.
