Mission

The International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) is a best practice organization committed to giving its members from around the world a competitive advantage. ICMIF helps to grow its mutual and cooperative insurance member organizations by influencing global issues, creating unique networking opportunities and sharing the latest market and member intelligence. Since 2007 the mutual and cooperative model has been the fastest growing part of the global insurance market; maturing from 23.8% to 27.3% in 2013.

ICMIF Resilience Hub
In November 2019, the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) began a multi-year collaboration to help address the urgent challenge of reducing disaster risks.

Voluntary Commitments

The organization has no registered commitments.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
