ARISE India

Launched in 2019

In August 2017, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) became a member of the Global ARISE initiative. Later in March 2019, ARISE INDIA Network was launched by  UNDRR SRSG Ms Mami Mizutori, in New Delhi, India. 

FICCI, the oldest and largest Chambers of Commerce in India, provides the Secretariat for ARISE INDIA. FICCI was founded in 1926 and comprises over 250,000 companies from 68 different sectors such as pharmaceutical, chemical, power, IT, telecommunications, agriculture, textiles, media, and petro-chemicals.

ARISE India members are a sub-set of FICCI  and there are currently over 350 members.

Network leadership

As part of FICCI, there is a Task Force on ARISE , which is chaired by General NC Vij, PVSM,UYSM,AVSM,Former Cabinet Minister, Govt of India, Founder Vice Chairman of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Former Chief of the Army Staff, Co-Chair Brig (Dr) BK Khanna, SM, VSM, Former Founder Advisor in NDMA and Co-Chair Mr Parul Soni, Managing Director, TTC.
