Mission

CARICHAM acts as an umbrella organization for the Chambers of Commerce in the Caribbean, now consisting of 20 members from across the Caribbean. CARICHAM serves as a platform designed to promote partnerships, information sharing and collaboration among the region´s chambers of commerce for the advancement of disaster risk reduction and resilience.

DRR activities

CARICHAM serves as the ARISE Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies leader of "ARISE CARICHAM" liaising with a network of ARISE Caribbean networks.

MSME, supply chain and business resilience are among ARISE DRR priorities in the region.

The toolkit consists of a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) guide and template offered in five different languages. and includes tutorial audio visual material for users.

The organization has no registered commitments.

The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
